This policy outlines a Seller’s rights and responsibilities and forms part of Class Threads’ Terms of Service. All Sellers are responsible for reviewing and following these rules, as well as any applicable local laws. Violations may result in account restrictions or removal at the sole discretion of Class Threads.

🧾 Seller Fees

Listing an item on Class Threads is always free.
After your item sells, Class Threads deducts applicable fees from the final order price before sending your earnings.
Actual earnings may vary based on the final order price, discounts, fees, and any applicable taxes.
Class Threads collects and remits sales tax on all applicable orders as required by state marketplace facilitator laws.

Deliver It

Buyers choose Free Local Pickup or Delivery at checkout.

If the buyer selects delivery, you must deliver the item to the buyer’s address provided at checkout. You may fulfill delivery by:

Shipping through any carrier you choose, or
Local drop‑off directly to the buyer’s address

Delivery Credit

When a buyer selects delivery, a delivery credit is added to the order. Sellers earn this credit once delivery is fulfilled, and it is included in their next payout. The delivery credit is intended to help offset delivery costs. The amount is set at checkout and may vary over time.

The delivery credit may or may not fully cover your delivery costs. You may choose any delivery method that works for you.

If you ship the item, tracking must be provided.

💵 Payout Methods & Fees

Free Payout Method

ACH Bank Transfer (recommended): ACH is the default and preferred payout method. Sellers enter their bank information securely during their first payout window. Class Threads never sees or stores bank account details.
Paper Checks: Available upon request.

Optional Payout Methods (Seller‑Paid Fees)

PayPal: PayPal processing fees are deducted from your payout.

Fee Deduction

By using Class Threads, you agree that:

Any payout‑method fees (PayPal or paper check fees) will be deducted from your payout
ACH remains the free option available to all sellers

🧵 What Can Be Sold on Class Threads

Class Threads supports the sale of most pre‑owned uniforms, apparel, and related school‑aligned merchandise.

For safety and compliance, certain items are restricted or prohibited. Please review the Prohibited Items Policy to ensure your item is eligible.

📝 Listing Descriptions & Pricing

Sellers must describe items truthfully, accurately, and completely. This includes:

Clear, original photos of the actual item
Honest condition details
Disclosure of any flaws, wear, or alterations
Accurate size selection using the required Size field
Reviewing any auto‑generated listing content for accuracy

The main photo must clearly show the item being sold. Avoid collages, filters, or effects that make condition difficult to assess.

Sellers must have possession of the item and may not list items they do not yet own or ship placeholders.

Class Threads may review listing photos, descriptions, and comments in the event of a dispute.

Pricing

Sellers may set their own prices, but price gouging is not permitted.
Once a buyer purchases an item or you accept an offer, a binding transaction exists and you must complete the sale.

📦 Order Fulfillment

When a buyer purchases an item or you accept a buyer’s offer, you must fulfill the order.

Local Pickup (Free)

Coordinate a safe, mutually agreed‑upon meeting location
Public, well‑lit locations are recommended
School pickup or drop‑off may be used if both parties agree
Once the buyer accepts the item in person, the sale is final

Delivery (Shipping or Local Drop‑off to Buyer’s Address)

If the buyer selects delivery at checkout:

You must deliver the item directly to the buyer’s provided address
You may ship the item using any carrier (shipping is supported only within the continental United States) or drop it off locally
You earn the delivery credit, which is included in your next payout
If shipping, you must provide tracking
You are responsible for resolving delivery‑related issues directly with the buyer

❗ Cancellations

You may cancel an order before shipping or delivery if:

The item is unavailable, or
The buyer’s address is invalid

In these cases, the buyer receives a refund of the order total.

Buyer‑requested cancellations do not count against your account.

If the item has already shipped or been delivered, the order cannot be canceled and instead follows the Returns & Refunds Policy.

Transaction Fees on Cancellations

Payment processors do not refund transaction fees on canceled orders. For this reason, a non‑refundable processing fee may be deducted from the refund amount when an order is canceled. This fee is not charged by Class Threads; it reflects the cost retained by the payment processor.

Timely fulfillment is essential; repeated cancellations or failures to deliver may result in account restrictions.
